‘This was due to a delay in the announcement of the closure of the pharmacy,’ Pfizer statement reads. ‘We are discontinuing the sale of Ventolin (as a ‘generic’ drug) and are therefore requiring our customers to purchase it in a UK pharmacy and are therefore not substituting their medication for a branded drug from the manufacturer.
